The Role
Great work and people to do it with
People are a big part of Centrica/BG, clearly something they emphasise and the results are clear to see in the office
At least 3 people officially in charge of your wellbeing/there to answer questions but everyone, bar none, are happy to answer questions as and when required
I was extremely busy and others weren't; it varied with the project
Massive responsibility. Again though, this did vary across placements (they are selected for you)
Perfect introduction to corporates, useless to my degree
The Company
Fun office with many idioms, good bunch of people. Would describe office itself as clinical
Pretty good but at times one hand didnt know what the other was doing, but this was limited
they gave you personal development bits to do and supported you in that, but it wasn't forced upon you
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
seemed about 40% in marketing, higher elsewhere
The Culture
excellent for me, good bunch of sp students who got along well, went out lots etc.
welcome to west london
easy trip on tube to London
up to you but they are there if you want; i was kept busy enough with work and work activities plus socialising with interns. brunels sport facilities are superb
