The Role
Really exciting team with great work. American Express is not just a card company, there are many many roles in Amex.
Everyone was great and I grabbed a drink with the whole team, including senior members
Support was great. When I ran into difficulties on my project I could always reach out for help, but I was encouraged to think on my own. This added to the experience.
Great balance. I worked hard during my time at work but was able to have plans in the evening with colleagues at Amex or with friends. I was responsible for getting my work done and I was able to arrange my time accordingly.
I was able to drive results in a team environment which was really great. I felt that I gave a valuable contribution.
Great skills, not only specific for the job but also softer skills.
The Company
Great team atmosphere and stopped to talk as a team but was able to get on with individual work.
Exciting events were organised for the interns in London.
Talks with senior leaders throughout the company gave us a real idea of what the company was about, and advice for our careers.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
Able to drive career direction in organisation.
The Culture
People go as friends. Some events are organised although it is often a drink after work.
London is expensive.
Going out in London is great, although Belgravia does not contain clubs. There are a lot of great restaurants and pubs.
Over 10 weeks it was not really necessary (sports etc). We had a volunteer day.
