The Role
I was given a lot of responsibility and opportunities were countless. I was really made to feel as part of the team. I was also given the opportunity to work on my own personal development.
Colleagues always values my opinions and were always happy to answer any questions I had. They always thanked me for anything I worked on for them and gave me interesting feedback to help me in the future.
I had monthly meetings with my manager and she always gave me the opportunity to ask any questions I had. If I needed some guidance we would have an extra meeting on top of the monthnly one to help me.
Most days I was very busy and always had something to be working on.
I was given more and more responsibility the further into my intership I got. I was once sent to Glasgow on my own to act as centre administrator at an assessment centre for one of our clients.
It gave me so muchmore confidence and an insight into the world of work. It made me realise what I wanted to do after university. I would definitely recommend doing a placement to anyone who has the opportunity.
The Company
It was often uiet in the office as everyone is concentrating on their work but conversations were always going on i different rooms if you wanted to move desks and listen in to learn more.
The induction week was polanned very thoroughly by the previous intern and management always organised what work was coming through for me to do.
I feel I was given numerous opportunities to develop myself in the areas I wished to. I was sent on a number of different training courses to enable me to be able to do more in depth work for the company.

The company offer a junior consultant position which I could apply for after my degree if I wanted to.
The Culture
Everyone is quite busy as there is a lot of travel involved in the job. However, I organised a number of social nights out and the turnout was good.
Compared to university prices at Loughborough, I found living in Surrey (Guildford) very expensive, rent wise and socialising wise. I also had to bear in mind travel costs to and from work.
Not great but close enough to London if you wanted a good night out, however, working 9-5:30 everyday takes it out of you and there isn't much time for that anyway!
Yes although I think it would have been easier to get involved in things if I had a car. I joined a gym which kept me busy after work and lived with students from Surrey university who I socialised with.
