The Role
I enjoyed my placement as it provided experience and was a change from simply studying at university for 4 years straight.
All the staff were very friendly, helpful and made me feel valued.
As much support as I required was given.
Some days would be busier than others but some days there would be less to do if I was waiting on reactions to finish and if all other tasks had been completed there would be little left for me to do.
As much as I wanted/ could manage.
I'm sure I've developed many skills that will be applicable to whatever degree/ career path I pursue.
The Company
Friendly and lively.
Only H and S courses were undertaken.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I am interested in a different line of employment.
The Culture
There was one other placement student within Lubrizol and several within other companies within the Hexagon Tower. All were friendly, sociable and approachable.
Reasonable- Manchester city centre has a wide variety of locations to suit any budget.
Very varied night life to suit everybody. Good transport around the city to reach destinations.
Colleagues were always keen to socialise.
