The Role
The working environment was excellent and the people were engaging and social, but commuting into work can be a hassle!
I had 2 rotations on my internship, I felt a lot more valued on one of them than the other.
Management were unbelievable at making the time for me, they were constantly approachable and happy to help.
As it was largely left up to me to manage my time, I felt relatively unpushed. Aside from when deadlines were looming.
I had to prepare some presentations/reports that were due to be presented the next day in some cases, therefore it was on me to make sure they were of the best quality they could be.
Gave me a good grounding of techical knowledge, but you learn most of it on the job and no one makes you feel bad for not knowing something.
The Company
There are always people who are around to talk to about anything, whether it be work or personal life. The people made the internship brilliant for me.
The organisation and the investment in us was unparalleled. There were meetings set up every week (sometimes more than 1) with senior management and high performing Investment Advisors who gave us an insight as to how they got into the business and what makes them tick.
The company invested a lot in us, we had a weeks worth of training at the start.
Healthcare/Dental
Obviously I am unsure as yet, it depends on market conditions.
The Culture
The other interns were a good laugh!
Canary Wharf is fairly expensive.
Didn't get a chance to go out as I was commuting.
Nothing in particular.
