The Role
I had a fantastic team and an experience and supportive Manager who genuinely seemed to car about my career progression.
I had more responsibililty at VW than I do now in my current role - something that I miss.
From my VW placement, I felt confident to go back to complete my final year of university and use my gained skills to obtain a 2:1 degree and further job roles.
The Company
Everybody was friendly and willing to help. As one of the youngest in the department, I was not treated any different and was warmly welcomed to the team and wider business.
I had a fantastic handover with my predecessor and a clear structure to my responsibilities. Regular catch up meetings with my Manager help manage my workload and create a work in progress plan.
Although I didn't undertake any extra training qualifications, I feel that if I needed to, the company would have provided it.

VW is a company that I feel you could stay in for many years. Their organisational structure provides opportunity for career progression and a diverse range of departments to choose from.
The Culture
Myself and many of the other undergraduates often organised social meet ups and department was also very good at organised regular social events. I know understand their importance as it kept moral high and the chance to get to know your team in a more relaxed atmosphere.
It is understandable cheaper than the university cities, but I appreciate we are still in a recession and prices are high in most places!
Pretty good! Milton Keynes is relatively small but enough variety to keep you busy, with a friendly and safe crowd.
Many of the undergraudates often met up outside of work and Milton Keynes has a lot to offer. From gyms, cinema, night life, restaurants, shopping and other outdoor activities - we were never bored.
