The Role
I found myself bored quite often, but the people were very nice and sociable.
Mostly found myself included, sometimes a bit lost. Never felt socially excluded - lots of other students to socialise with.
Very good. Could have done with some more one-on-one evaluations.
Very bored quite often, especially towards beginning of the placement. Might have to do with length (only three months) and certain department, other students were fine.
Lots! Lead my own project, presented a lot and lead meetings.
Not sure, haven't gone back to uni yet but I have learnt a lot :)
The Company
Everyone's sociable and active.
Not a clear work plan (possibly because it was only 3 months), not sure where to go when I first arrived. Set up very well though, good with organising contract and medical.
Not much time taken to train me in any software use. Not as much development feedback as I would have liked.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Good compnay to work for - lots of benefits - but many people were negative about working there, put me off a bit.
The Culture
Lots of events organised - 3 month placement students not included in 12 month students' inductions though so miss out on the scene initially.
It's the North!
Fun, students often out.
Yep - I was very impressed
