The Role
Placement was enjoyable in parts, but a significant time was spent waiting for work.
I felt very valued. No problems here.
Could have had more help getting settled in.
Could have done with having a lot more work to do.
I was responsible for my own mini-project, but would have preferred more guidance on what was expected of me.
CAD training may well prove useful in future. Not sure how much it will help with my degree.
The Company
Quiet but amicable.
Well organised by HR, department and supervisors seemed to have only a vague idea of what I was meant to accomplish.
I received informal CAD training, but for a 3-month placement there wasn't much time for the company to invest.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
Unfortunately, they rejected me for future placements, with no clear reason given.
The Culture
Very sociable group of students! Living in the same building helped.
Coventry is fairly cheap.
Nightlife in Coventry is a bit crap, although the pubs are quite good. Leamington is better.
Company-sponsored ELS scheme encourages outside activities.
