The Role
Before I started my placement I was sceptical , but it turned out to be one of the most worthwhile things I have ever done. I had such fun with the people I work with and have made friends for life. I also feel like I have learnt alot.
I was given a proper job straight away which showed that the valued me and they always treated me with respect.
Whenever I asked for help it was given but I was also allowed to work ahead on my own, it was encouraged- you defintely learn more by doing things yourself
Depending on what day it was I could be really busy or else have not much to do. I think it really depends on what department you are in. I generally always had some little job to keep me occupied if y main project was running smoothly and didn't need much attention.
I was treated the same as my colleagues-given a project and expected to do it.
I really believe that I have learned life long skills in Jaguar. From setting up meetings and dealing with collegaues it was a great experience and my confidence in engineering has increased.
The Company
My department we're great fun, always banter had.
I was very impressed with HR. You really felt like you mattered and whenever I asked a question it was always answered straight away.
I did training courses and saw lots of different parts of the company.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Got a job with them for when I finish uni!
The Culture
The facebook page that they set up for us was great to organise activities and nights out.
Wasn't living in the prettiest location but it was great fun and living with other undergrads is defintely a bonus!
You have to go to the towns for nightlife! Leamington Spa has good nightlife.
You are in the middle of the country- there's lots to do around the area
