The Role
The amount of responsibility gave me a great experience and having a large amount of other placement students at the same company with me made it a really enjoyable year.
At the end of my placement my manager said I was a valuable member of the team. Supporting many of the sales guys I was relied upon and everyone appreciated the work I did.
My line manager and other colleagues were always there to support me, as throughout the whole year everyone needs support and help by other departments to get their job done.
I was always really busy as the role was particularly demanding but rarely had to do longer days to complete my tasks.
I was given a huge amount of responsibility looking after my own accounts and was allowed to just get on with my job.
This year has been invaluable and the skills I have gained I can take with me not only into final year but my career beyond this.
The Company
I really enjoyed coming into the office every day as the people made it a fun day.
The structure of the placement was really good with a dedicated team for the placement programme. We had specific days where all the students would come together for things like a CSR project and to find out about the grad scheme etc.
There was always training for all employees on particular products as this was essential for the sales team.

I have been considered for reemployment on the graduate scheme.
The Culture
As mentioned there were a large number of students at my location so the social scene made the year a really enjoyable one.
Reading is extremely cheap.
Always something to do but not the nicest of places.
Always things going on.
