The Role
The project was explained to us in a way that justified why were looking at it.
I was very much working in a group of 4 interns so while I felt valued by the group I was working in I had limited interaction between other members of staff as there were few people in the company who could help us with our project.
The supervisor was fantastic spent a lot of time with us and encourage us to gain skills in organising and managing a project.
There was a challenge in balancing the work equally between the four team members. So at some points some of us were very busy while others werent at all. However, through encouragement of supervisors we managed to split the tasks as equally as possible to ensure everyone gained new skills.
Lots of responsibilty over our project, as a group of four interns we had complete control of how we worked, and had the ability to change the scope through conversations with our supervisor.
I am using some of the concepts as a basis for my final year project. Good experience at working in a group of people with different background knowledge and skills sets.
The Company
As a group of four we were working together, next to other interns. This gave us a great opportunity to get to know each other. There were also opportunities to meet up with the team out side office hours going to the pub and playing football etc.
Well organised, we recieved an outline of the project before we arrived, so we knew what we were doing. Further to this visits were organised early on, allowing us to plan the work around them.
The supervisor invested heavily in time with us - we had personal reviews and interim reviews. As well as weekly meetings to establish the amount of progress made. However, I felt the people not the company invested in me.

The graduate scheme looks promsing. Three placements within 18 months, the graduates on the scheme and those just off it had many positive things to say about the scheme.
The Culture
Many of the students lived in the same area and would spend alot of time going round each others houses and hanging out at the local pub. As I had already mentioned students were invited to join in the company football league and team socials.
Reasonable, travel to and from work was free. Company canteen was reasonable priced. Going out costs about average.
Local pubs good and friendly. Area is where Warwick University students normally live so a good variety.
There was a day out wth work involving sports activities, as well as opportunities to get involved in sprot and networking events at lunch times.
