    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed getting to know the two different departments and being involved in real work

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everybody was really friendly and welcoming

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was really well supervised in one department, less so in the other but this was due to the supervisor being out at meetings so unaviodable really

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • In one department I was really busy but in the other I had to ask for work which is fine but I don't think there was really enough for me to on the last day or so.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • It varied really as to what was available. I don;t believe that anything was held back from me but I don't think I did anything particularly high level.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It was a great experience, juggling interviews and assessments and working and meeting new people and adapting to new situations are all worthwhile skills that I am pleased to work on

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The Plymouth office has a great vibe and the evening with the trainees was lots of fun!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely well set up, thought given to provide a buddy, a welcome lunch and an evening activity along with a structured programme and knowing exactly when our assessments would be.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Training wise there was little to do in term of systems as I was already familiar with it but if I had questions they were answered and if I had needed training, I am sure this would have been provided.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Secured a training contract beginning 2014

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Some really nice people on the placement, kept in touch with 3 of them and we organised lunches out between us during the placement

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's pretty standard for a city of the size, not London prices but not mega cheap either

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There are plenty of places for a good night out

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There was an evening social and lunchtime social through the week and the boys could play football after work on a weds (unfirtunately there are no girls sports teams)

    4/5
