The Role
I enjoyed my 6 weeks but felt the activities I was given could have been a bit more stimulating.
I got on well with all of my colleagues, paid an interest in them and they supported me throughout the 6 weeks.
Many supervisors on my department seemed to be unaware of what my internship consisted of and why I was there.
It varied, a lot of the time it was making myself busy rather than being given responsibility.
Increased throughout the 6 weeks but ended up doing a lot of the daily management tasks and financials/
Very applicable to the career I would like to pursue.
The Company
Alot of employees were dissatisfied with management and complained a lot to each other about their work
One of my meetings was changed and I was not told about it and people besides my direct manager were unaware of what my internship was and what I was trying to achieve
Got a lot of management and steering group time, people were happy to help me
Subsidised Canteen
Fast tracked to final stage of graduate assessment
The Culture
Did not get an invite to any social events during my time, could not access company perks and I was the only intern
Newcastle caters for all budgets and I lived at home
Good
No other interns and could not access company perks
