The Role
It was an excellent experience and taught me loads.
I wouldn't say there was much sense of community, it was much rather work oriented and professional. Everybody was always nice and polite though.
I had clear instructions and could always ask somebody for help.
I was constantly doing something.
I had some freedom, but mostly had to get approval for my ideas first.
I gained invaluable experience that has already helped me out in interviews and uni work.
The Company
There were some jokes thrown around in weekly team meetings which helped keep a light mood. The interns had great fun but the rest of the office seemed on the quiet side.
Everything went smoothly and there was always somebody making sure everything was running smoothly.
A lot of my time was spent on learning new things, I was always asked if I need or want any extra training or guidance.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very attractive job offers, the interview process is also appealing - you get to stay in a hotel!
The Culture
The interns had a great time. We met for lunch each day and went out at least once a week.
Edinburgh is quite expensive, but the company subsidized accommodation helped with this a bit.
There are loads of clubs and pubs in the centre of Edinburgh, something for every taste.
Edinburgh is such a lovely city that you can always find something to do there. In August there is also the Fringe festival which can easily keep you entertained and engaged for the whole month.
