    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The work, whilst hard, was proper work - not typical intern things. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a great deal.

  • Everybody at PwC was extremely helpful, caring and willing to help out/answer any questions.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Superb support by my buddy and people manager - even though I was only at PwC for eight weeks, I felt extremely valued and my supervisor got to know me well.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were a tad on the boring side, but by being proactive, most days I was busy and had work to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Genuine responsibility and working on client work, at a client site. The work I was doing was a vital part of the business.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt a lot of skills that will help me. It was a wonderful and enlightening experience. A truly great eight weeks that went quicker than I ever thought it would. It is an experience which I will look back on and cherish!

  • The PwC office was open and friendly.

  • Superb organisation.

  • It was clear that through training, events, evenings etc that a lot of time, money and effort had been spent to make my experience a worthy one.

  • I was fortunate enough to be offered a graduate job with PwC, which I've accepted.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The interns I was with were an extremely social bunch, and I enjoyed their company a lot!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Admittedly, central London during the Olympics - very expensive. However, it was well worth the investment.

  • London nightlife! From bars, pubs to clubs there is something to cater for everyone.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, football team amongst others. Plenty of chances to widen my experience.
