The Role
They were all lovely, included me in normally socials and activities, I went to watch wheelchair basketball at the olympics!
I was given lots of support by everyone, I asked some very basic understanding questions and noone made me feel stupid.
I always had to ask for work, there weren't many occasions I had more than 2 hours of work given to me at one time but there were normally things to do even if I had to ask a few people.
I wasn't given very much responsibility at all.
I think the skills I learnt will help me greatly when I go to work in the professional services, I have learnt a basic understanding for accounts and business.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly, on Friday afternoons we had friday treats. The atmosphere was fairly relaxed but people were busy.
The introductory part where we stayed in a hotel and had 3 days of training was very well set up, it was fun, I learnt a lot and got to know the other interns. When we got to the office for the first day with my team, having tried to contact them I couldn't get in contact with anyone and didn't know who I was meant to be working with or where I was meant to be which was a bit stressful although once that was sorted everything went smoothly.
The firm invested a whole week of training us meaning we spent 5 weeks actually in the office. We also had a couple of days where we did personal training such as improving our presentation skills and at the end of the internship we made a dragons den style presentation to some partners in groups we were given helping us work as a team and develop ourtime management skills too.
Company Parties/Events
I was offered a job with them at the end of my internship so very good!
The Culture
I went to the olympic wheelchair basketball with my team and as a group of interns we organised a social every thursday. I always went to lunch with interns or members of my team too.
I was in London so it was expensive but thats London!
There were lots of bars and clubs close by.
Yes, I went to wheelchair basketball and social drinks with my team and other interns.
