The Role
Really enjoyed my placement, the perfect balance between opportunity and fun.
Colleagues ask for input and valued my opinion.
Weekly 1-to-1's to check progress and give any feedback. A chance to comment and/or request any changes to work-plan.
You are eased into work so it is not too much too soon. As you are valued as a real employee, you are given the same workload as other employees. If you are given too much work colleagues always offer to help.
Given plenty of responsibility during placement, which lead to opportunities to interact with senior managers on numerous occasions.
A lot of learnings from this placement and some key skills, such as SAS, which will help employability.
The Company
Very fun place to work, colleagues are great!
Very well planned, the whole year was planned out, training was planned already.
The company invested time and money to train me up with several courses included in the placement.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Application through their internal system for their graduate job. Contacts within the organisation will help.
The Culture
Great social scene amongst colleagues, with company events and social nights out.
As it was in the south, it was still expensive, but compared to London it was very cheap.
The night-life was good in the area I worked in, and it was only a 20 minute train journey to London.
There were lots of opportunities to get involved in sport and in volunteering.
