The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my internship from the office atmosphere to the work I undertook.
Myself and another Intern were given a large amount of responsibility and effectively created and ran our own project with guidance from our team. They have published our findings and gained work with Debenhams through them.
I had as much support as I needed, as minimal as it was. However, I do feel, that had I needed more support from my people manager that I may not have readily received it.
We were fairly busy for 3/4 of the time with our project. The times when we weren't as busy allowed me to work for other areas within the building, for example, in the Sustainability and Climate Change department.
I was given a lot of responsibility throughout my internship with complete control over our mini-project.
The knowledge of what is expected, not only in PwC, but the business working world, will assisst me greatly in all future endeavours.
The Company
We were sat near the PAs for the partners and they were very friendly, happy to help and enjoyable to work near.
We were said goodbye to at the Dragons den day. Most interns were finishing that day, however, management consultancy interns were not and it seemed as though we had almost been forgotten.
Through doing the Academy and the Internship I feel PwC had invested heavily in me, as my internship was paid and consisted of real life consultancy work and not just admin.
Subsidised Canteen
I have been offered a job with them, which I will be commencing in Spring 2014
The Culture
We socialised together regularily and I organised a number of drink events, dinner events and nights out for us to get to know each other better.
I lived in Borough, and it was fairly expensive.
The nightlife was good, however, as then other interns were from all over London, our locations for nightlife were greatly varied.
Many different activities were arranged for us by the Foundation for the Future rep including a late night trip to the Zoo and a night out in Mahiki.
