The Role
I really enjoyed being busy almost all the time and doing high profile and important jobs.
I felt extremely valued as I felt like I was a key member of the team I was working in.
Every question I had was answered by my manager or collegues. They all helped me with everything.
Working in the finance department for one of the largest NHS trust is extremely busy.
I was given good amount of responsibility which contributed towards the teams goals.
As an Accounting & Finance student, working within a professional large organisation in the finance department has no doubt helped me in my studies and beyond.
The Company
The whole team was always lively and enjoyed working as well as doing the job well.
The placement was relatively well organised however I felt more like a full time member of staff than a placement student.
The did not invest anything in me.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
They do not hire graduates unless a vacancy becomes available. Since there is a low labour trunover, I doubt anyone of my calibre will be leaving any time soon.
The Culture
There was a good social scene however not outside work.
London is expensive!!
A few restuarants, bars and shopping but nothing much.
There are LOADS to do. Examples include: Cricket Team, Football Team, Gym, Swimming etc.
