The Role
The people were very friendly and eager to help. The placement was very enjoyable and gave you a chance to really challenge yourself as much as you wanted.
Was made to be included the whole time I was there and invited to after-work drinks, events and even to play football and golf. Made some great friends with the other interns from around the country who I have gone to visit and had such a laugh with.
Managers and other senior staff were always happy to show how to do my work and were eager for me to ask as many questions that I could think of and even explain to me how they did they work that they did. I was able to learn so much and was able to ask the same question a couple of times if I didn't understand the first time.
There was a small initial period of time where a client no longer required work and I was left a little stranded but after a day they were able to give me a great variety of experience around the office.
I was able to take on more responsibility when I was able to and wanted to but I was there to learn and there was no way any intern could manage projects with PwC but was at least able to see the decision making process of partners and how they went about their work.
Went to London for intense 3 day course where I learnt more than I expected to and throughout the internship, I completed online training and was provided with lunchtime lessons for extra help whenever I wanted.
The Company
When clients are popping in and out you have to be professional but with hot desking you were always meeting new people and often on Fridays everyone went out for a drink together which was a great opportunity to talk to people in a more fun setting.
Structured from the offset with training week in London and induction at the local office. Additionally, halfway through the internship there was a feedback day and the final day we had to give a Dragon's Den pitch that we had been working on in teams. There was a day where the client project fell through so I was left without much work to do but apart from that it was very well organised.
Believe that the firm provided lots of support and invest in their people. Given lots of training and had many meetings with my Buddy and People Manager to talk about my experience and how I can grow as a person and develop my skill set.

Was offered graduate job conditional on 2:1 degree - went to an Open evening to talk about my experiences as an intern
The Culture
Made great friends with interns in local office and around the country and have met up with them since the internship for drinks.
The office is near the centre of town but not expensive but there is lots of opportunity for socialising with members of the office.
Very vibrant place with nice bars, large music venues and good nightclubs nearby the office.
The office had a groups of people that played netball, hockey, football and golf together and the office had a Christian society which provided people to get to meet others in the office.
