The Role
I found the day's were relatively long, but it is to be expected and was a true reflection of what working for the company would be like, it was on the whole an enjoyable experience.
I felt that I fit in almost straight away with my colleagues and felt like it always seemed as if they had time for me, no matter what level they were which was pleasing and encouraging.
The incharge's on the jobs that I was on were very helpful, giving me tasks to complete and support when needed.
My day's we're longer than I was used to, but I found that most of the time I had things to do which kept me busy.
Responsibility gradually increased throughout the placement, as can be expected in this line of work, it is difficult to throw to much on you from the off.
I have already found that some of the things that I have picked up on the job have helped in my university degree.
The Company
Although it can be a high pressured job there were seldom times that I heard negativity, people were positive and upbeat about the work most of the time.
I feel a little more communication could have taken place prior to the start as it felt a little like going cold.
The firm offered the same benefits to me on the placement as the full time employees got, as well as pay at a competitive rate and a night in a hotel prior to joining, which seemed very reasonable to me.
Subsidised Canteen
Was offered the job on the final day of the placement.
The Culture
There was only one other intern on the job and we didn't spend much time together, however I regularly played football with some of the interns, had a bbq after a csr day and went for drinks/ lunch a few times.
Competitive to most cities.
I live local to the area so know the nightlife well, but didn't explore it much with colleagues.
As above mentioned, I got involved with football and the CSR day.
