The Role
I really enjoyed the internship and it encouraged me to apply for the graduate scheme.
The help and support provided was unbelievable. Much more than I was expecting. If i ever had a problem or a query I knew there were people i could turn to.
The help and support was always available however i was encouraged to work and think independently.
As I wasn't qualified to sell Barclays products I had to do a fair amount of shadowing which meant I didn't always have as much to do as i would have liked.
Again, in the branch I didn't have much responsibility due to lack of training however i had full responsibility for my project.
I have learnt so much over the past 8 weeks and feel these skills will help me in my degree and beyond.
The Company
The branch was always lively and busy.
I think the organisation was fantastic.
Most of the training required extended over 8 weeks but I felt that the company would have provided it had i been there longer. The few training sessions i went to were very useful.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I have applied for the graduate scheme - still waiting to hear back!
The Culture
I have made some friends for life!
Perfect balance.
Central London :)
The opportunity was always there should you want it.
