The Role
The work got off to a slow start however once I got started I was given a range of interesting and varied tasks.
I worked on a very close team, although everyone at the company were very friendly and helpful. Always open to questions!
I was given all the support and guidence I asked for.
Due to unforseen circumstances the department I was placed in did not have a huge workload, as I result I was not particuly busy.
I was given my own project to work on, being key contact for all suppliers on the that contract.
My placement was not particularly relevant to my degree, however I feel this has been a benefit in itself. I have learnt a new business area and skills I would not have learnt through my degree, such as legal contract work. I have also gained many transferable skills that I'm sure will help me in the future.
The Company
Everyone in my office was very friendly and helpfull.
I think MBDA offers a very good internship scheme. I did have some problems to start with, however I was the first undergraduate the Procurement function had ever recruited and so I am not sure they really knew what to except! All issues that I had were quickly resolved and I feel that overall it was a very good placement.
The option of training was available however due to the dates training commences my placement had finished before I had the opportunity to do much training.

The company offers a number of Graduate schemes which it actively encourages it Undergraduates to take following graduation. The company offers a bursary for the final year of university for any undergraduates who accept a graduate job.
The Culture
This was very good, the company arranges social events for the first week and there is the option of joining the sports and social club which provides discount for a range of activities. Everyone at the company is very sociable.
About average.
Stevenage has a number of pubs and a few clubs, I have to be honest they are not the best!
There are a few however I didn't get involved so I can't really comment!
