The Role
I felt like the internship was a gd experience but as it was the first year they have ran the retail scheme in this way there is plenty of room for improvement when it comes to the structure of the programme and the work they make you do.
As I moved around alot of different areas and worked with alot of different people, i was never with a team for that long meaning i never built up any working relationships with my colleugues.
My manager was brilliant, he organised lots of different places for me to go and plenty of jobs for me to do.
Plenty of time to enjoy yourself and do other things and alot of time spent travelling around london.
Ran a small campaign in the branch i was working in.
Truly valued the presentation and managerial skills i developed during my time which will be good for all my future career plans.
The Company
The branch i worked in had a great atmosphere, everyone was friendly towards me and with each other. There were events outside of the office which helped improved relationships in the office.
The structure was experimental because it was the first time but still overall i got to learn and experience alot.
Alot of time was put in to teaching us and letting us do things, and we had training sessions thoughout the internship.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Very good opportunity, but decided i want to experience other financial sectors before i make my final decision.
The Culture
Still have some amazing friends that i met on the scheme, and i would see my fellow interns most nights after work. Great group of people.
Socialising in london is expensive!!!
ITS LONDON MATE!
HAd a community day and a few organised events with free drinks and food. And an organised event were they took us all go-karting.
