The Role
Slow paced work at times incredibly frustrating, but at other times interesting. More benefit for 'soft skills' picked up than actual knowledge gained.
Treated as a full member of the team. However, Summer Interns are generally ignored or bounced around other parts of the organisation when looking for help/info.
Good exposure to senior management within RR including Commercial Director, Civil Aerospace. Guidance from team good.
Extermely variable.
Good level of responsbility given on projects worth large amounts of money.
The Company
Slow.
Poor, little in the way of structured training sessions.
Company's investment in training low if not an engineer. No formalised structure for training for Commercial interns.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Could be worse.
