The Role
I enjoyed certain aspects a lot! Lot the people that I worked with and the banter in the office. The image of Willis also suited me (a big corporate company). However, I did not enjoy the work so much. A lot of it was spreadsheet work and became a little tedious.
I still speak to many of them now and I have lots of their numbers! They really included me and I enjoyed working with all of them.
At first it wasn't so great but then my boss was really helpful as the work started to crank up. We got on really well and he really helped me negotiate the office politics.
I mostly had enough to do, however, sometimes it was crazy busy (working til 8pm) and sometimes I was bored but I didn't mind that so much.
I got to do Exit Interviews on my own and I had a strong influence on a Sales Assessment we did on all our staff in that I created the spreadsheet, distributed it, analysed it etc.
The levels of professionalism, social skills and confidence I gained will stay with me for life and I am grateful for that. I have learnt how large organisations work.
The Company
We went for drinks and meals after work fairly regularly and generally there was quite a lot of office banter and jokes.
Sometimes I was a bit lost with nothing to do but this was rare and I was looked after well.
My senior manager spoke to me sometimes, as did my boss, about my development but not often. I did attend a couple of training courses however.

I was offered a job there after university but I am not sure if I will take it to be honest. It's not what I want to do as a career.
The Culture
Only one other placement student but my colleagues were all up for doing things and we used to go out fairly regularly.
Expensive. I was in London so this was expected.
We went out a couple of times properly. The clubs were good but I didn't see enough of them. The bars were all great, though expensive.
Apart from social events not a lot at all. There were clubs but no information on how to join them.
