The Role
Hard work but very stimulating and rewarding
Made to feel very welcome, and although my knowledge isn't huge, everyone took the time to explain things to me and valued my opinion.
We were given support but also allowed to discover the firm for ourselves. Really good amount of freedom throughout the week.
We were very very busy, but it was only one week so I think we needed to be to get everything done!
It was only one week, so it was impossible to give us any real responsibility in that time.
There was a strong emphasis on how one works in a team and what type of work suits you best. Many of the things we learnt in the week will be useful in both my degree and life outside academia as well.
The Company
All of the people were friendly and had a lot to ask everyone on the Spring Week, if there was a moment when the markets were not moving fast it was great to have the opportunity to talk to people who may otherwise have been very busy.
Well organised, would have been great to know our desk rotations a little earlier in the week though.
There was only one week, but for this amount of time there seemed to be a lot of effort put into training us and making sure the lectures were interesting.

Company Parties/Events
They appeal a lot!
The Culture
Yes, great, I am still in contact with quite a few of them
It seemed to be expensive, but I expected nothing less from living in London! The company subsidised the week for us, which made it a lot easier to cope on a student budget!
London has a pretty good nightlife!
We were told a lot about all of the charity work you can get involved with and there also seemed to be popular sports teams. There was a lot going on in the company.
