The Role
Only slight downside was there could be periods where not much happened, due to waiting on people for information
Couldn't rate my colleagues any better, all staff across departments were very welcoming and helpful
Was left to independantly create a strategy on my own
I gained a lot of valuable skills working with people across all levels of the business from HR, to Directors to Technical experts to support staff
The Company
There was one workshop over the 8 weeks guiding us on personal impact and teamwork
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Healthcare from home
Would definitely work for National Grid in the future
The Culture
As a group of 15 power academy students the social side was excellent!
Not particular student budget most of the time, but some decent cheap beer to be had!
Quiet compared to Manchester, but enough to keep me happy
