The Role
Great variety of tasks, the rotation between two departments has really helped me to find my ideal role within this organisation.
Regardless of seniority, everyone at Deloitte was friendly and I truly feel as though I can work there on a day-to-day basis, which after all was the driving reason behind why I wanted to intern.
Both my Champions in each department I rotated in facilitated me well, both in the work environment and socially, which truly makes you feel supported.
I wanted to have a realistic view of what day-to-day life consisted of at the firm and I definitely feel as though I got to experience that.
I worked at both associate level as well as assisting senior management on a project mobilisation. In terms of responsibility this clearly shows that they do not take interns for granted and this is not the kind of internship where you will be making tea and photocopying all day!
Great interpersonal skills development will surely aid me with networking in the future.
The Company
Great balance of both seriousness coupled with a relaxed environment.
Brilliant co-ordination, especially in my first department, ERS - where there was a clear plan as to which clients I would be at and also the opportunity to shadow a partner became available.
Pretty much had the same level of training as a new graduate associate.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Brilliant, during this internship Deloitte clearly made it obvious that they value their employees and I suppose this is clearly shown as there is a certain bar that all candidates have to meet in order to meet the firm. Once in, Deloitte seem to be a firm that will definitely cater to one's career ambitions later on.
The Culture
Weekly lunches paid for plus two socials put on for interns across the whole of Deloitte London.
Expensive - London is clearly work hard play hard.
London is beyond anywhere else when it comes to Nightlife!
Team building and the opportunity to help out in the community for a day were available for some colleague interns.
