The Role
I found the work fun and challenging, however, even though it did have a business use the implementation did not occur during my internship.
I found the colleagues easy to talk to.
My supervisor was more that happy to schedule weekly meetings with me, to update me on progress.
The first few weeks of the internship was taken up with admin and waiting for computer access, so these weeks were not particularly busy.
I was given a self-contained project, so was working at my own pace and had total responsibility.
At the end of the internship we had to give a presentation, this has increased my confidence and communication skills.
The Company
The work place was divided into separate teams, there was not much interaction between teams. During busy periods I found it was not always easy to ask questions or talk to people.
It was clear HR did a lot to get the interns to interact. We had a lot of social events and weekly seminars.
The firm organised weekly seminars to teach more about the busy and upcoming projects.
Company Parties/Events
Most of the interns I met received an offer.
The Culture
Most of the interns went to lunch together everyday and went out weekly.
It was the standard london socialising costs.
Standard london nightlife.
The company had a community day for interns were we helped out in schools.
