The Role
I enjoyed my time at Santander, it was a worthwhile experience and I gained a lot from it.
I felt welcomed and valued by my colleagues from the first day, an extremely brilliant team to work with.
I was supported through my internship from start to finish, I never felt scared to approach anyone and was given the adequate amount of support and guidance that I needed.
I was mainly busy but had some quiet periods as my department was a bit quiet over the summer. I voiced this with my managers and they found me some extra projects to get involved in.
I was giving a lot of responsibility which I think was a good thing.
I gained a lot of skills and learnt a lot from working in a large global organisation, things I will take going forward.
The Company
The atmosphere in my office was always friendly and fun.
It was extremely well set up and organised, I always knew what my role was and tasks for the 12 weeks.
My managers help me develop skills and competencies that I would need for future employment.
I would definitely consider Santander as a future graduate employer.
The Culture
I didn't really socialise with many work colleagues as I was the only person of my age in my office for 4/5 days a week.
Leeds was a pretty cheap place to live & stay.
I didn't go out whilst on the internship but I have been out in Leeds previously and it is a good night life.
Not that many.
