The Role
I really enjoyed this placement. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, a lot of effort had been put into making sure the interns had enough to do. There were lots of workshops, talks and the right amount of social events. I learned a lot, got a good insight into the industry and had fun.
Everyone was very friendly and always helpful.
They would always make sure that we had something to do, there was always work available that we could help with and it was pitched at the right level.
Either doing project work, attending workshops or doing work for the associate I was sitting with. I never got bored but was never overwhelmed.
It was more work experience than placement. Because law is so technical there was little that could be given to us in terms of responsibility but we were responsible for making sure that we did a decent job of what was given to us.
Helped with my communication skills, my ability to write concise emails, proof reading and researching skills.
The Company
It was a very busy office which made you feel productive in turn so there were always things going on.
Very well done, lots of talks, useful workshops etc and they were well scheduled over the placement so that they weren't all concentrated a the beginning but spread out so they provided structure to the days.
We were taken out on lots of socials, we were given basic training in many different things and even taken to a Young Vic workshop to help with our confidence and interview technique.
Subsidised Canteen

The Culture
We all got on quite well and took ourselves out on socials after work as much as the firm did.
