  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My internship was challenging and gave me a valuable knowlage of the company and the sector

  • Everyone was lovely and challenging, my bosses gave me work that I felt was worthwile

  • They were approachable and they understood what I wanted to gain from this internship.

  • It was in a busy department, it allowed me to use my initiative and I could always find work!

  • I felt like I was given responsibility and that I worked with the whole team

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • It gave me an understanding of where my strengths and weaknesses are and how to improve. I now know the area I want to proceed in to once I have graduated

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was lovely, and the managers understood the challenges they faced. Meetings showed how management really cared about the general atmosphere. The people were absolutely lovely. We even did a mini-Olympics!

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • This was the first time the department took part in the internship programme I am have confidence that it will build on practice. The placement was organised very well and we even had a meeting for all the interns from the various departments.

  • They really took time to improve my learning experience.

  • I can get fast tracked to the interview stage for a graduate position.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • It was individual efforts to co-ordinate placements however the co-ordinator helped and the people were lovely and the graduates were really effective organising everyone.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It wasn't too bad. It was a paid internship so I managed to balance all of my outgoings

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It was not a university town but behind my offices there were pubs and nice bars.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • You can do as much as you wanted.
