The Role
It was challenging and fast-paced, but rewarding at the end.
The 'colleagues' were fellow placement students for the most part, so the atmosphere was always good within the group as we al co-operated on different tasks.
There were always there to offer suggestions and advice and to talk us through the activities, but ultimately we were being assessed so they always encouraged us to form our own ideas and conclusions.
The days were always full of a mix of educational talks and presentations, group and individual activities and networking opportunities, so full, but worthwhile.
As said above, help is always available but there are times when you must form your own ideas and conclusions, particularly when being assessed.
Although a very short placement, the intensity of it and the wide range of skills taught and practised has certainly left a lasting impression and been transferable to university life.
The Company
Being full of fellow students made the experience more enjoyable as we were all in the same boat.
Everything was very well organised with a timetable throughout the placement, with tasks and targets always explained clearly and in full.
The whole placement was based around personal development with a view to future employment.
I'm waiting just waiting to be given a date for a partner interview.
The Culture
We were encouraged to mingle with the other students with activities during the evening and team building during the days.
Everything was paid or during the placement.
