The Role
Very good, well structured internship, with an excellent introduction week to allow all the other interns to get to know each other etc
Everyone at the company was very welcoming originally and made me feel part of the team throughout my internship
People were always on hand if I ever had any questions/doubts about how to do anything.
Generally a very good level of work. Some days very busy working on client projects and other days quieter, but it worked out at a good balance.
When i was working on certain projects I was given as much responsibility as I could have been given and would expect.
Certainly improved some of my communication and presentation skills, which to varying levels come in very useful at University.
The Company
Very good, people were always sociable and various events were set up to socialise alongside the rest of the team.
The introduction event was very well set up and ensured we settled in quickly, got to know plenty of other interns. My introduction to the office was similar and throughout the internship was well set up, with plenty of people on hand if you had any problems.
The company arranged several events throughout my internship to encourage our personal development and reflect on how the internship was going.
I was offered a job upon completing my internship.
The Culture
We were all introduced and encouraged to integrate from day 1 and continued to do so meaning we ended the internship as good friends as well as collegues.
I lived at my University accommodation for the duration and this has good, cheap transport links as well as cheap socialszing options
The area in which I lived and worked was very close to Birmingham city centre, offering a range of good, cheap nightlife.
There were plenty of opportunities to get involved in various activities throughout my internship.
