The Role
It was a struggle to start off with but after a while (about 6 months) I got used to it.
Some members of staff were more helpful than others but this comes with every job.
We had weekly catch up meetings and progress meetings to see how I was getting on.
A lot of overtime was done during my placement because there was a lot of work to be done. The work load was quite heavy.
It was like a proper job, they did not treat me like a placement student but a full time member of staff
The skills in this job included time keeping and working to deadlines which will help me in my degree and for future jobs
The Company
There was a nice atmosphere in the office with a balanaced mixture of fun and quietness for work.
The uni could have improved the organisation of tutor visits
The company offered 3 weeks training but it was just for general stuff. nothing specific.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
they are friendly and great to work with. The job role varies but the work is different so there is a lot of variation. You will not be doing the same thing every day.
The Culture
Average. Weekly drinks and sometimes organised events.
Lived at home.
Leeds nightlife was pretty good.
Not many opportunities but there was sports and social events which was avaliable to members.
