The Role
It was a great opportunity to learn more about the bank, and the time spent was really worth it.
Everyone, including seniors, respected the interns and were enthusiastic to answer any questions we had.
I was free to ask any questions during the work-shadowing, and was told about many things that I would not have known if I didn't participate in the internship. Also, there was a session to discuss about various topics with the panel of managing-level employers.
Well organised schedules, allowing me to experience what full time internship working hours would be like.
Since it was only a spring week, I did not have much responsibility
Learnt valuable skills in networking and presentations, which were hugely applicable in my university course. Also learnt about banking and the industry.
The Company
Everyone seemed to enjoy what they were doing, helping each other often. My colleagues were also happy to help me, offering a cup of coffee to have a conversation.
The week was organised very well, with all the useful contents packed in that short period. It did not seem to rushed or over-scheduled at all.
They were willing to invite professional trainers to give excellent quality trainings and presentations, to help us prepare for the next stages as thoroughly as possible.
I was accepted for a longer internship opportunity after getting fast-tracked to the final assessment centre.
The Culture
Everyone was enjoying and making friends within the group, as well as networking with current employees.
Average, considering it is located in London, but accommodation was provided for those living far away from the work place.
N/A
Networking events were held twice, and it was a very good opportunity to talk to various people and to learn about the things outside of work.
