The Role
I really enjoyed it. The people there are extremely friendly and are eager to give you work. The firm is growing and there is lots going on giving it an exciting vibe around the office. HR also picked a good group of people to participate on the scheme and we all got along very well.
I felt very valued. The work they gave you was actually useful. You never felt as though you were a burden or you were getting in the way which I have felt in other places.
Lots of support. You never felt you were over your head and you always had someone you could ask if you found something challenging.
I was fairly busy. It really depends on the department. Some had a lot going on but others were quieter.
A fair amount. You were given your own tasks which you could go away and work on.
As you were given a few tasks at a time it helped to develop my organisational and time management skills. It was also useful to see how the law worked in action.
The Company
Great atmosphere. People seem to genuinely like each other. The trainees seem quite close and there is a lot going on. I was particularly impressed with the house events. Departments also seem to get along quite well with the open plan offices giving the firm a really good vibe.
It works really well having a week in each department. You are given a timetable when you arrive so you always know what it going on and where you are meant to be. Its quite structures and you are given the names of the people you can turn to if you have any problems ahead.
They gave a lot of time. There were several lectures in which I felt I learnt a lot. The people went out of their way to help you.

I was very lucky to be offered a training contract.
The Culture
Good social scene. We had the two organised socials and we went out after work for drinks a few times. We also met up for lunch it was really nice getting to know everyone.
The internship is in central London so it is quite expensive.
Good, it is by St Catherine's Docks so there are lots of cool bars. There are also good tube links to get home.
You participate in a group project outside work which is fun and gives you the opportunity to work with others on something completely different. You also could have gone to the sports practices (netball and football).
