The Role
I really enjoyed the wide variety of projects - from new product introductions to e-business.
My colleagues always appreciated my work.
During my placement I could always ask questions and my manager would always support me when I needed help.
It tends to be very quiet during the summer months, but it gets very busy afterwards. I always worked on few projects simultaneously.
I led several projects, for example a new product introduction and eBusiness projects.
The placement helped me understand how the theory is applied in real life.
The Company
Everyone was always friendly and happy to help.
The placement was well-structured and I experienced working on many different aspects of the business.
The company provided a lot of workshops, for example presentation skills, negotiation skills, digital media, branding, etc.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
It depends on whether or not 3M will have any graduate schemes/ entry jobs. This year they do not have any.
The Culture
There were nights out organised every 1-2 months.
The rent in Reading was quite expensive. Restaurants & pubs - standard.
There is not much happening in Bracknell, so people tend to go out in Reading.
Sports, gym, volunteering.
