The Role
The work was interesting, and lots of social and networking events were organised too which helped me get to know everyone else on the scheme
Everyone was really welcoming, but it was sometimes difficult to help with work because of the technical nature of the departments
Both principals and trainee buddies were approachable and supportive, and were very open in answering questions about life at Linklaters
There were some days when there was not enough work to be done, again because of the technical nature of the work.
A lot of the work was proof reading or research, so there was some responsibility but not a great deal.
I did gain valuable time management and organisational skills, as well as further research skills
The Company
The atmosphere was really relaxed and welcoming, and there were lots of fun activities arranged.
As well as actual experience in the office, there were plenty of lectures and talks, and I was really provided with a good overview of the firm
Lots of lectures and talks were arranged, as well as plenty of networking activities.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I received a training contract offer with the firm which I have accepted
The Culture
There was lots of out of office socialising, including meals out, nights out, a duck tour on the thames and a cocktail making workshop
Not very cheap, but reasonable for London
A good range of clubs and alternative bars and pubs
Lots of fun activities were arranged such as cookery classes and treasure hunts
