The Role
It was really good. Essentially you are just going through projects graduates do, but your split into teams competing against each other and making it all a bit more fun than just sitting at a desk
It was really good, everyone came and gave us so much of their time. They acted like they truely believed we were the future of the firm, rather than just treating us like silly uni kids
We were split into teams, but had real employees helping us out on the tasks, explaining every step and key decision to us and the logistics behind it
Everything was structured, and all breaks were more of a network session. However the work you are doing is all team based tasks, so its not like you are bored working
All the work we were doing was hypothetical situations, or historic events. It was only an insight scheme, what do people expect?
Really good, just having the thought process of real investment decisions opened up to you, makes you realise your previous mistakes etc...
The Company
Everyone was focussed on their work, and stocks were split between people so it wasn't like you needed to talk to others and everyone seemed to keep themselves to themselves
Really good, time was spent on giving us really interesting projects that we would learn a lot about
Alot of time was obviously spent on the tasks and projects you work on in your teams, there was also senior employees sat with you (analysing you) but also helping you out, explaining key themes and decision making processes
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Everything you learnt would help you to do the job, but you didn't get much firm specific tips on interviews etc.. to help you out. However its obviously something you can bring up in interviews etc.. and explain why you want to work for them over other firms
The Culture
Loads of us got together and made the most of the London clubbing scene!!
London - what do you expect.
LONDON BABY!!!!!!
As its said previously. The office was a bit dull and everyone seemed to keep themselves to themselves, so there was less office interaction on a social level than I have seen at other firms
