The Role
Very good for students that are interested in learning about the technology. Friendly work environment.
Everyone is really kean to share their knowlege.
Not neccessary with so many motivated peolpe around you...
Good balance between office work and site visits.
This years placement was for learning porpuses, the responisbility was on us to learn what we need to learn and previous placements with the same company were high in responisbility.
We learned more than you would in any Power course in Uni.
The Company
Professional and extremly friendly even during lunchbreakes.
The site was given short notice of our arrival but managed us perfectly.
We were 4 people on a 1 day training course on project management. - Quite impressive effort.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Seems a good company to work for.
The Culture
People were very nice and as the office is small every one knows everyone.
the cost of living was high as it was only a 8 week placement and Leeds Uni are the only ones that accept short tenancies to payable prices.
I don't really care about these things. They have a great cinema and cafes if you want to do something. Otherwise Leeds gets flooded by Stackparties etc.
They would be if you stayed with the comany for a longer time.
