  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed the work and the people.

  • I felt like I was contributing to the team and socialised with them a few times outside of the office.

  • My line manager was very friendly and helpful and was more than happy to spend time with me to explain something.

  • There was always something to do but I never had to stay later than 8 which is reasonable in this industry.

  • I was working on something completely new within the team.

  • I learnt a lot about how to code well as well as the maths involved in the models.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was pretty quiet and everyone was just getting on with their work which was fine with me. Very professional atmosphere.

  • HR are very helpful and contactable and it went smoothly enough.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was an off-cycle intern and started and left slightly ahead of most of the others so I missed the training and development sessions put on by the company. They did have things planned however.

  • I was offered a job.

  • I did go out a few times with other interns and colleagues.

  • This is Canary Wharf so it's no surprise that it's expensive.

  • There are a few nice bars but if I wanted nightlife, I would go out in central London.

  • The bank do have a good choice of sports clubs and societies which you can join. It's more a question of finding the time.
