The Role
The internship was very well organised and structured. There were many opportunities to network and show my capabilites whilst also receiving some very useful training.
The other members of my team were very happy for me to work with them. They answered all of my questions and supported me throughout the internship.
The management at Grant Thornton are very supportive and provided guidance which allowed me to perform to the best of my ability.
I always had work to complete but the team made sure that I was able to complete the activities and training that were provided with the internship. I also had a very good work/life balance.
I was responsible for completing real client work during the internship and I also attended some client meetings.
The interns completed a two day presentation training course at Bradenham Manor. This training will prove useful in my final year at university when I have to deliver presentations as part of my degree.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was quite relaxed and it was a very nice place to work.
The internship was very well structured. There were opportunities to work in the office, to receive training, to network at social events and also to learn about other departments at the lunch and learn sessions.
The training and development opportunities at Grant Thornton are second to none. I attended technical training seminars, visited Bradenham manor for a presentation training session and received lots of on the job training.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
There is an opportunity to have an interview at the end of the placement for a place on the graduate scheme at Grant Thornton.
The Culture
There is a very good social scene at Grant Thornton and within the internship itself. I took part in the Grant Thornton national football tournament in Norwich which was a lot of fun. Lots of social events were organised for the interns including bowling and a ride on the London Eye.
