The Role
Really insightful, learnt so much about consulting world! Also got put up in a conference centre, so felt like a posh worker Met so many people, that will be future networks and contacts :)
It was sort of a week of lectures, so wasn't much interaction, sort of treated like a school summer camp
Everything was set out for us, and there was loads of people about to grab and ask questions for
It was all pre arranged activites, so we were busy from like 8 (having breakfast) until sort of 9, but in the evenings we would be playing football and things
Was just presentations, but it was an insight program so what do you expect/
SO MUCH TRAINING!!! Boosted up my CV, so should be able to get a good internship Really good interview answers, loads of assessment centre and interview practise/training given
The Company
It was all just fun fun fun!!! The HR people that ran it were really enthuastic, which rubbed off on everyone else Everyone was just all excied to learn more about PwC's functions
Really well set up, I was allowed to come a day early because I lived so far away, we were given an extra night in the hotel and breakfast. Then the next 5 days was perfectly planned for us, I was even given a taxi to another train station since I was going on a different route to everyone else!
Loads, a week of practise interviews and assessment centre work, so should be able to get through other firms' recruitment processes PLUS it has boosted up my CV Potentially invaluble knowledge!
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Really good. Most people got given internships (though there was some competition for specific departments). You've been given a ton of tips and hints to easily nail the recruitment process for a graduate position in a few years time. You've also got an advantage for other recruitment process at different firms.
The Culture
Everyone was just excited and happy. Nobody knew each other either, so meant we all mixed together. It was summer camp, but with a bit more professional advice instead of just activies all the time haha
Everything was on expenses
We were out in a countryside conference centre, so not much fun was to be had in the evening/drinking front
Not really applicable, we had alot of evening entertainment -- football tournement, quizs etc..
