The Role
Impressed by nearly all aspects. Would have preferred more practical engineering, and when I arrived, it was though it was a surprise.
An office with great humour, and full of generall good people
After the intial shock of appear the management took a large intrest in my role.
As i had a large project with an exact ending. It was in a way left to me to decide the amount of work to do, obviousy the more work i did the higher the quality of my work.
I was given the responsibilty for my project, and hence I made my own decision and took responsibilty for them.
More skills for life than for a degree. A great experience on how to deal with people from diverse and differents cultres backgrounds and sexualities.
The Company
Good, once i was rempimanded for too much fun and not enough work but the balance is as good as it is efficen.
The only poor part of the program, as i mentioned previously it was a surprise that I turned up. I was also felt like I was alone from other students alot of the time. However the reason for this was probable the change over of the lead graduate manager.
Several training courses. One very good one involving advanced learning.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
The National Grid have offered me a role on their Sponsorship scheme. This means i get £2000 towards my uni fees, plus £200 books, software, and hardware allowance. Having this sponsorship should give me more chance to make it a full time job.
The Culture
Several Nights out, company paid for the xmas do.
