The Role
Really good, first experience of proper actuarial work and loved it
Everyone was so nice, I got taken out for a meal on my first day and from then on everyone was so friendly
Loads, everything could be explained as much as I wanted and everyone else in the team was happy to help if I needed it
Really good balance, had significant amount of work to do but also time to relax/day dream :)
Was doing some pretty important calculations and reports that were just getting sent out
Really good -- application of academic skills to commercial projects
The Company
Relaxed, everyone joked and talked about the latest football game
Structured really well, everyone was expecting me, I had a load of work already been set aside from me and then little interesting ad hoc projects
Everyone sat down and talked ot me about their career paths, so I could find out the best career path for me, there was lots of training too put on my the firm
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Got a job :)
The Culture
Yeah everyone use to go for regular pub trips
Really cheap compared to London!
Norwich has a decent city feel, but it's not London...
Pub trips, its more of a case of making friends in the firm and then doing your own thing with them
