The Role
Really enjoyed the internship; the recruitment team put on lots of events to break up work and i felt very welcomed
Any work I did was always greatly appreciated and each person took the time to go over and review work I had done with me.
Whilst I was briefed quite thoroughly on each task I was set, there was only limited opportunity to get help whilst in the middle of a job.
There was always plenty of work to be done, but you didn't feel obligated to stay very late etc to get through it all.
From the moment I arrived I was given real work for real clients.
In addition to the actual work experience, a number of workshops and presentations on skills and training were put on.
The Company
Quite subdued, but everyone was friendly enough.
Entire placement ran almost completely smoothly, very little to complain about.
All work I did would be reviewed by my supervisor, who would then go through it with me, discussing how I could improve/develop my work. A number of skills sessions were put on for interns.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Got a job at the end of the placement.
The Culture
There were 32 interns, meaning that there was always someone happy to go for a drink etc. after work, the firm also put on a number of social events for us throughout the placement.
City of London-as expensive as you would expect.
Very busy, particularly at weekends.
Plenty of opportunities to play in various teams, work with the pro bono groups.
