The Role
I really enjoyed my time with Accenture. I worked in a very interesting environment and got a good deal of exposure to the client. I also got to work with many different people which gave me a good all round feel of the consultancy profession.
I was treated as an equal for the whole placement by all colleagues regardless whether they were a first level analyst or a senior manager.
I had a good deal of freedom to improvise around my job however I knew that my managers were there for me if I ever got in trouble.
The work load was generally good, however in consultancy there are sometimes irregular periods of either really intense or very low activity. Nevertheless, my manager always had enough work for me to be getting along with.
On several occasions I took on a good deal, even holding a one on one meeting with a client. However, for the most part I generally took on a supporting role for my team.
I learnt a great deal, particularly excel and people management skills, yet most importantly I got a solid foundational insight into management consultancy.
The Company
We had frequent social events after work which was a great perk, plus the day to day atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable.
After a short induction week, we went straight into our placements. It was a very efficient and painless process.
There was a week of training before we started our placements. On this we did have several very useful training sessions - particularly with excel.

Would be delighted to work for Accenture in the future.
The Culture
There was some sense of community amongst the new interns, and we did have several social events over the course of our placement.
Very low as many social events were paid for on expenses as I worked on an off site project.
The location of my project was well suited to night life, however the nightlife will change from person to person depending on where you project is placed
Yes, there were many extra work activities you could take part in as an Accenture employee.
