The Role
Really good, was an intense week but learnt so much and got a second year internship offer :)
We mostly listened to presentations for the hole time, so colleague wise it was more that they would come in, give the presentation answer any questions then leave. However all the fun things arranged for the evenings meant as a group us insight interns started to gel really well
Not really applicable - it was all listening to presentations or doing really simple tasks, that you could never get out of your depth
The hole day for normal working hours was planned out, however you weren't under any pressure and there was a lot of time for breaks. The evenings were all planned too (cocktail making sessions etc..) so we had long days, but they weren't intense work wise
Not at all, we were the lowest entry people in the hole office and our work reflected that. Infact you aren't given any responsibility, its all just a networking chance to try and get an internship for next summer and some contacts within the firm
Learnt so much about various goldman thing, but the biggest eye opener was just meeting people, seeing the offices and feeling the atmosphere of the office
The Company
Much less stressed than I thought it would be. Its not like the movies or those stories you hear. Everyone is just chilled out, relaxed and normal human beings!
It was really well structed, everything planned out to the smallest detailed - full marks in this department, as you would expect with anything Goldman related
The hole thing was targeted towards our development - I learnt and developed so many non class room skills
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Got an internship for the second year summer :)
The Culture
Goldman arranged so many evening activities that they caused a really big social scene :)
Goldman paid for everything :) got to love expenses!
Its London, best clubbing scene in England!
Yes, so many things were arranged for the evenings for all us insight interns, a few graduates came along to the friday sessions too
